‘Live for others. Help the needy ones and never get disappointed’, said Sahil.

Life is full of challenges, hardships, ups and down, but the point that matters is how one can face those difficulties and accept challenges to achieve success. Although it is not an easy task for anyone, but one must have to be determined and take stand to achieve their goal. But imagine how those difficulties will be for those, who are disable or special people. It becomes more difficult for those to face hardships as compare to normal person.
The world is full of amazing people who strongly believe in their abilities. There is someone special who understand himself as the way he is and his disability never become hurdle to achieve his goals, a young talented student, Sahil Bughio. He opened his eyes in the home of Nizar Ali Bughio at Moro in 1996. He completed his Matriculation and Intermediate from Moro with flying colors. During this higher secondary education, he was active in extracurricular activities and won positions and awards in debates, speeches and games.
After intermediate, he decided to become an engineer. He was selected in Mehran University with a high percentage. But soon, he left it because he could not get his favorite department. After leaving Mehran University, he took admission in University of Sindh. Currently, he is studying in Department of Commerce. Now, he wants to become a lecturer. This is what, we call “Hope” due to which he is continuing struggle.
He said, “My mother is the source of inspiration for me, she always encourage me that you are not disable you can do everything that common people can do. This is why I never lose hope.”
He has very kind nature. His smiling face amazes that shows he has no worries. But sometimes he gets irritated when someone disturbs him during study. He says, I can enjoy the company of my friends when I am free, but to me this is totally intolerable if somebody wind me up, when it is my time to study. Sahil is fond of reading books not only academic but literary, history and magazines. A table in his room is always occupied with books.
Now, in student life, not depending on others he can do everything that a normal student does like, class work, making assignments, taking bath, wearing clothes and eating he do not even take glass of water from others. He manage all his work. He has full command on computer through which he always keep himself updated. One of his friend Mir Magsi said that “he has loving nature. He never minds when we make jokes at his height, he always help others and is cooperative.”
We all, especially students should get lesson from his struggle and personality to make life difficulties easier for achieving the goal. And it is also our duty to help and encourage students like Sahil Bughio. Especially, administration of university should care, give facilities and scholarships because students like him are eligible and have right.

And there is no doubt, without seeing hardships one cannot achieve anything. But imagine how those difficulties will be, who is disable or special one.it become more difficult for those to face hardships as compare to normal one.
But there is some special person who understand himself as normal people rather than helpless. Sahil Bughio 21 years old guy, is one of those striver, who never lose hope and make their life message for all. He opens his eyes in the home of Nizar Ali Bughio at Moro in 1996.he got primary education from his village. Then he done metric and intermediate from Iqra public school Moro. During this higher secondary education, he got different positions and awards in debates, speeches and games.
After intermediate, he struggles day and night to become an engineer for that he gave the test of Mehran University of Jamshoro and finally his efforts become fruitful and got selected in Mehran with a high percentage, he achieved what he aspired to. But soon, he left it because he could not get his favorite department. After leaving Mehran University, he took admission in University of Sindh. Currently, he is studying in department of Commerce in second year. He has aspired to become lecturer or teacher. This is what, we call “Hope” due to which he is continuing struggle and become never hopeless.
Once upon the time, during conversation he told me that “My mother has always been source of inspiration for me, she always encourage me that you are not disable you can do everything that common people do, this is why I never lose hope and also not differentiate myself to others.”
He has very kind nature with always smile on face and feel others have no worries, it was the thing that amazed me some extent. But sometimes he become angary when someone disturb him during study. According to him “one can do everything with me but I cannot let go disturb anyone during the study”. This is why, table in his room, seemed to be full of books. He is fond of reading books not only academics but literary, history books and also magazine.
Now, in student life, not depending on others he can do everything that a normal student doeslike, classwork, making assignment, taking bath, wearing clothes and eating unless he did not take glass of water from other. He himself manage all this.
Not only this, he has full command on computer through which he always connected with internet and keep updated himself.one of his very close friend and classmate Mir Magsi said that “he has loving nature, never minds when we make joke sometimes at his height and say “Kodu”, he always priorities friends and students, who have need of him especially, of university work.”
As Sohil message is “Live for others. Especially, who are special one and cannot afford to get education and those reached the university, they should be encouraged and financially helped because those are lucky one who reach the university to get higher education and all persons not reached there.”
Now, we cannot imagine, howmuch this man struggles to reach here, for getting higher education. This is because of his true determination.
We all, especially students should get lesson from his struggle and personality to make life difficulties easier for achieving the goal. And it is also our duty that we should help and encourage students like Sahil Bughio. Especially, administration of university should care, give facilities and scholarships because students like them are eligible and have their right.

Some sweet and sour memories with Roshni Mahira Majid

Stroll down memory lane

By Mahira Majid Ali

While taking admission in the Department of Media and Communication Studies, I thought we will start with practical work and the whole journey will be based on the field work, as it is all about Media. But the real practical work of journalism started in second year, when we learned how to report and write news stories by our teacher, Sir Sohail Sangi, a man of his word. At the very beginning of second year, I had no such connection with him and to be very honest, I was scared of his eyes. However slowly and gradually, as time spend, I got a chance to understand him more. During my first presentation in his class, he stopped me and said your way to present is like a teacher. Are you a Mastriyani? His appreciation made my day. He taught me how to face problems in different stages of life. I was a very shy girl in the beginning of my university life and did not like to talk anybody. At that time, he selected me as a coordinator of his subject. He might have seen the girl who was hidden inside me.
Well, the work of Weekly Roshni Newspaper started in third year, the first and foremost practical work in print media by our department. The schedule of this newspaper is set in such a way that each week on Wednesday beat reporters collect beats from the allotted departments, on Thursday and Friday editors edit those beats, on Saturday all the pieces and beats are finalised and sent to the teacher who check it till Sunday. All the matter is then sent to Sir Samejo, who sets all the matter in layout. Monday and Tuesday are selected for the purpose of proof read. Wednesday again, is beat day as well as pasting day. The published copy comes in the department on Thursday and the students including editors plus beat reporters fold the newspapers then the copies are sent to different departments. In this way, the work of Roshni newspaper continues entire week.
Roshni newspaper is a trilingual newspaper. I remained editor from the very first issue till the last. Till fifth semester, everything was going smoothly. After that, in sixth semester, the students of M.A-Previous were also amalgamated with us. That was the time when I learnt how to deal with different troubles as a leader. In Urdu board, many editors complained that reporters are mischievous. Most of the time, they submitted inaccurate news just to get the attendance. Once, a reporter submitted news with some ambiguity and wrong picture was published with the news, in result of which the consultant department sent complain letter to our chairperson. Then we apologized and gave them a sorry note.
On the other side, in Sindhi board, many reporters complained that editors do not pay attention to our problems. They were lazy until the students of previous were added as editors with them. They worked in punctual manner. But most of the time, some Sindhi editors used to delay the work, even they were late in submitting the attendance of beat reporters every week.
Whereas, in English board there was not such trouble making body. All the reporters as well as editors of English board worked with cooperation. The whole and sole problem was the scarcity of English beat reporters. Here, I want to share a funny anecdote, once during proof reading, I did not check headline of a news properly and gave it to sir, saying that I have checked it there is not any error. Sir Sangi marked the mistake, removed his glasses, gave me and said to put them on. At that time, I was busted in laugh and remembered his saying that a dog, crow and a journalist never feel insulted.
It was a great time working with Roshni. There were hardships, conspiracies as well as troubles in the path but we all have given our best effort to work with Roshni and hope that in future, we will continue to work with more zeal and positive efforts.
I think, everyone worked in Roshni newspaper, whether an editor or a reporter, has different experience and views. I have tried to compile some of them and sharing here,
Rebecca (Reporter): I have worked as a reporter as well as an editor and I think both have their own charm. As a reporter u have to dig out news in scorching sunlight but after submitting news you are free. While an editor, no doubt sits in lab but he has to work whole week in editing pasting and proof-reading.
Farhana (Reporter): I have gone through an annoying situation throughout the semester. While submitting the news Urdu editors always referred us back our beats. And we, the reporters, were directed to go back to the allotted beat department for completion of minor missing information.
Hussain (Reporter): I think, I am a reporter who have submitted all the beats throughout the year, but none of my report has published yet. I can never forget it. Thanks to Sindhi editors!
Zain Hyder Shah (Former Editor): My experience in Roshni has changed my life. In many ways it grew skills in my mind, as an editor of English section I learned how to deal with the bunch of people. After working in Roshni, I actually felt I got an immense grip on the newspaper writing skills. Although without the extraordinary skills of Sir Sohail Sangi it was never possible to learn a lot. Only it troubled me sometimes when Sir Sohail used to pass his order to write editorial in 2 hours or so. This whole experience brought profoundness in my skills.
Rajesh Kumar (Editor): for me the journey of Roshni remain fruitful and wonderful. Not only because we learnt basics of print media but also cooperation, team work and motivation with knowledge and courage of teachers as well as fellows.
Saud (Editor): working with Roshni was a great experience. We got knowledge about the paper industry. A newspaper which was always degraded, when I worked and became aware of the efforts of all the staff of newspaper and the procedures through which a newspaper goes through then I realized its worth.
Well, Roshni has given us many memories, increased our knowledge and experience and it was merely not possible without the kind efforts and of our teacher Sir Sohail Sangi.  I hope that we all will avail more chances in future as well.
Thankyou Roshni!!
Thankyou Sir Sohail Sangi!!
